Self-Help Groups : Promotion and Stabilization

 

Under this programme so far 60 numbers of SHGs have been formed. The specialty of this programme is that the SHGs are peopled with tribal of the remote areas. The details of the programme is the following-

Amount of thrift collected: Rs. 2, 80,524.00
Amount of inner lending made: Rs. 98,000.00

Special Schools for Child Labours

17 Special Schools for Child Labours have been allotted to MANT under N.C.LP by Birbhum District Child Labour Rehabilitation-Cum-Welfare Society in March 2006. In 2006-2007 85 workers were selected through interviews lasting for 3 days. 850 students have been selected from the survey list provided by the Office of N.C.L.P, Suri, Birbhum. Bank accounts to put in the individual incentive of Rs.100/- per month of 600 students became operational.
The staff members of the schools were trained by the N.C.L.P Authority, Birbhum. In every school annual sports meet was organized and the felicitation ceremony was organized at Community Hall, Paikar, Murarai-II Block on 28th February 2007. Dr. Quamre Elahi, MLA, Murarai, Shri Dilip Ganguly, eminent social worker of Birbhum and Md. Barkatullah, social worker, Murarai, Birbhum were present to give away prizes to the young champions in various sports activities
